Fungal foray

A weekend walk in the local wood yielded a huge clump of the delicious Wood Hedgehog Mushrooms (Hydnum repandum).
We also found Saffron Milkcap (Lactarius deliciosus), Wood Blewit (Lepista nuda), Honey Fungus (Armillaria mellea) and Puffballs (Lycoperdon species).
The less tasty Honey Fungi and Puffballs were combined a pasta pot, whilst the others deserved to be just gently fried in butter.
