Moles became a problem this year. Neat little piles of earth would be bearable, but they seem to be recreating the Somme battlefields. I watched some of my flowering plants turn brown because the moles had burrowed through the roots. I need a good removal strategy for 2013. I must hone my skills as a trapper.

Get your hair cut
I should have grazed the meadow in November, like a good cow, but the snow came early and has been followed by regular rain. I will strim as soon as the sun allows.

The voles also have their tracks and burrows, but they don't seem to cause any real damage.
